Supported Charities
Family Promise of Davie County
Family Promise supports temporarily homeless families with children by providing shelter, meals, and resources to help them achieve lasting independence. Families stay at the Family Center in Mocksville, where Family Promise maintains two rental houses and a transition home for families in crisis.
Over the years, Family Promise has helped families who lost everything in house fires, single mothers with multiple children, and many others who had nowhere else to turn. By keeping children stable in their schools and providing comprehensive support, families are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
How We Help: Macedonia Moravian Church donates cleaning supplies, personal care items, children’s products, as well as financial support.

City with Dwellings
City with Dwellings is dedicated to serving homeless individuals in a holistic way. They provide shelter, meals, medical care, showers, substance abuse support, and other essential services through the help of many local churches and Second Harvest Food Bank. Operating from a building at Augsburg Lutheran Church, this ministry addresses all facets of homelessness through compassion and practical assistance.
How We Help: Macedonia Moravian Church assembles “move-in kits” for individuals transitioning into permanent housing. These kits include essential items for kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom setup, as well as hygiene kits for women, giving people a fresh start in their new homes.
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry
Our Daily Bread provides essential assistance to food-insecure families in our community. Operating once weekly at Fork Episcopal Church, this vital ministry ensures no one in our area goes hungry.
How We Help: Macedonia Moravian Church organizes drives to collect both food and household basics for families in need. By providing groceries alongside essential non‑food items such as paper products and personal hygiene supplies, we help ensure households have access to the complete range of necessities, not just food.
